27/30; only because I'm an old codger and with the exception of Babe Ruth the rest of them played within my lifetime.

29/30, who the hell is Nate Colbert??? never heard of him, I guess I should know him

At first I thought he was in some way related to Stephen Colbert.

Very pleased to have gotten Colbert. Missed Delgado. Would never have guessed Tim Salmon for the Angels.

Colbert was a slugger for the Padres from the early 70s. One of the first Padres' all-stars. Colbert is one of only 2 players, along with Stan Musial, to hit 5 home runs over the course of a double-header.

If the stories are true, Colbert, who grew up in St. Louis, attended the DH in which Musial hit 5. No player has ever hit more than 4 HRs in a single game.

Tim Salmon, the pride of Grand Canyon College.

stereotypical first baseman. Would have fit in perfectly in the 1950s (Adcock, Hodges, Kluszewski, Robinson, Sievers, Long.....all interchangeable ).

Last I heard, ran a used car lot.

Same here, 29/30. Thought for sure it would be Adrian Gonzalez, who I now see hit 161 in just 5 seasons. Tried seeing-eye single Gwynn due to longevity (135). Even threw out Klesko (131). Can't believe I've never heard of Colbert.

Just came back 3 years later and still missed Colbert. Oh well, maybe Tatis, Jr. will have already bagged it if I wait another 3 years to take it again.

This is exactly why I wish this site wouldn't shy away so much from older trivia. While it's great to get 5 points on a quiz and/or get 'em all right, it shouldn't merely be about reaffirming how much you know, but expanding your knowledge base so that afterward, you know more. Just because it happened before 1975 doesn't mean it isn't just as epic as whatever headline happened last year.

I hope it doesn't escape anyone's notice that Tim Salmon's team record will likely be broken in the next few years by Mike Trout.

Incredibly, at age 26, Trout is already by a good margin the all-time greatest player in Angels history by WAR.

I couldn't believe when his name popped up that he's already passed Salmon, Glaus, and Edmonds. I knew he would eventually, but...already? Wow.

I got them all, it still stuns me that a franchise as relatively old as the Padres (50 years this year!) has never kept a good power hitter long enough to pass Nate Colbert with such a middling total.

I always feel bad for Kaline and Salmon. Just one more! :-)

Couldn't keep a power hitter...but they had maybe the best pure hitter of the past 50 years on their team for two decades.

I got Strawberry, but it really feels like David Wright should be the Mets' leader. Just looked it up, and he was ten behind Strawberry. If he hadn't been hurt so much in his last years, he'd have the record for sure. Wright owns just about every other record the Mets have.

Any reason why the Guardians/Indians cell is the only one with multiple team names? Several of these teams have gone by different names, but you only chose to display the one.

The HR leader played for Cleveland when they were called the Indians. Since the Indians are no longer called that, QM put both Guardians and Indians.

Jim Thome never played a single game for the Guardians though, which is what I think Koopa's point is.
