Oh my gosh. This is the oldest I've ever felt! (Of the one's I've heard of) most of them would be on my list of most useless, vain and stupid people who should be immediately dropped into a landfill site. (But I guess that's the sort of thing old people say.) lol
Did much better now after the reset. At least I like to believe that it's so. I bet most people who got Leitte were actually trying to guess David Letterman. That's what I was doing. Also got Jim Carrey for guessing Mariah Carey. I use surnames only since I noticed it's much more "profitable".
Agreed, Quizzymaestro; can we have an update? I suspect a lot of shifting has gone on in the Twitterverse. Also, you still have "Soccer cub", which I think is adorable but likely false advertising; I would totally watch soccer if cubs of any species were involved!
How is Beyonce not on the list? Or Jay Z? That seems weird...
And can you change the description for Trump from politician to megalomaniac? Or businessman? Or entrepreneur? Because he really was elected for the prime reason that he ISN'T a politician.
I don't think I've ever watched a Bollywood movie the full way through and I live in America... yet I seem to know Indian actors/actresses better than American ones :)
And whatever happened to the juggernaut that was Charlie Sheen? I realize he doesn't feed Twitter gems of ingenuously butchered philosophy any more, but wouldn't he just stay in most people's list of contacts? Nobody ever cleans out that stuff online.
120 million #FAKEACCOUNTS added for too-skinny @KatyPerry (very BAD singer)! Mexican ISIS agents spotted creating accounts just to help her get bigger # of unquestioning Followers! Sad!
Lady Gaga should be listed as Actress/Singer now instead of just Singer. She got a Golden Globe for American Horror Story and there is Oscar buzz for A Star is Born. She seems to have earned the title.
I call bull for CNN. They don't even get 1 million viewers on their best days - no way they have two Twitter feeds with 95 million followers. If that one is so glaringly stacked with fake followers I would bet all of them are to a large degree.
Delusional is believing that CNN has that many viewers (which has been dropped to 60mil) when networks like MSNBC and Fox destroy them in the ratings but aren't on the list. Delusional is not admitting that at least 5% (I think it's higher) of all followers are bots according to Twitter themselves. If followers isn't related to the number of people who pay attention to what your posting then the whole thing is the pathetic joke that I've always believed and the number of followers is irrelevant.
You sound like a very smart, well-adjusted, and thoroughly informed individual with a keen grasp on reality, no odd but specific axe to grind, and who knows the difference between your and you're, so I'll take your word for it.
There's a big, big difference in the product Twitter offers and watching an actual CNN broadcast. They're two separate communication mediums. Personally, I can't stand to watch any commercial television. I do read the news online though.
Social media is a weird thing... I had a hundred or so followers at one point on Twitter but only got at most a handful of views for any given tweet. I think part of it was that you can 'mute' people from your timeline.
I wish I could know how many of these are bots. It'd be interesting to see what happens if all accounts were reset. I guess the bots would just come back as well. On a similar note, I wonder how many abandoned accounts there are.
Personally, I go back and forth on Twitter. I've created and deleted accounts several times. It's by far the best place to find unfiltered information on the internet. But it's only as good or bad as the people you follow, so you have to do some work to curate your feed.
The main downside is that it's super addictive. It's like TikTok for smart people. I don't have the app on my phone, only my computer, but I still use it too much which means I'll probably be deleting my account again soon.
As a Brazilian, it is really weird to see Kaká on the top100. I know a lot of people has crush on him, but being one of the most followed users in the whole world? Just crazy.
I can't remember all the members or ex members of one direction...

trump was unbanned, and a few people including mrbeast have entered the list
