I kept thinking to myself "why isn't James Bond working for the MI6 Sexual Harassment question? Who in MI6 is more inappropriate towards women than Bond?" Then it hit me...DUH! Very creative quiz idea. Would like to see more of these.
I just watched the last part of Forrest Gump yesterday... I don't remember him investing in anything related to computers. He makes all his money from the Bubba Gump shrimp, does he not?
I'll clarify a little bit... I've seen the whole thing before. As I remember his progression goes: football, military, ping pong, shrimping. Was there even a computer in the movie?
It was a small joke about him not understanding investments or technology. It also served as a plot device to show how he earned his money and why he never had to go back to shrimping
Immediately thought of Forrest Gump as the running enthusiast but dismissed that due to the computer reference. Seemed awfully obscure to me but the 42% getting it right proves me wrong!
He got rich at the end because Captain Dan invested his money in a "fruit" company which turned out to be Apple. That does seem pretty obscure to be honest.
It was a brief part in the movie, but one of the scenes I remember very clearly as he talks about not having to worry about money anymore. That's good, one less thing.
Absolutely right. No one dies, therefore no tragedy. Lots of comeuppance, but zero tragedy. It only gets on my nerve because it's a favorite movie of mine.
I never made the leap from James Bond. Tried most of the movies. Also could see those presidential masks in my mind's eye, but NOT think of the name of the movie. Also missed Keyzer Soze (he was Turkish???) and Total Recall. Was thinking more Mars Attacks! kinda thing.
Am I the only one that thought the answer to the "Symbology" question was Boondock Saints? I mean I get it now, but I was certain I was misspelling something.
Am I the only one who kept saying Avengers Endgame for the Tokyo Nightclub one? Anyone else remember the Hawkeye scene where he is in some Japanese city and he slaughters all of those people?
For the "symbology" one, I thought of Boondock Saints. It takes place in Boston, and the one detective takes flak for saying "symbology" instead of "symbolism."
The headline buries the lead on Fight Club, assuming the terrorist demolition of multiple high-rises would be more newsworthy than Tyler Durden's club status
I know these are tongue-in-cheek and this is 100% semantics, but Forrest Gump had already made all his Apple money before becoming a running enthusiast.
Film's called "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" though. And yeah, I tried several Bond movies before it hit me, baby. Shagadalic.
I'm in the 'should allow james bond' camp too..
