My mind was blank so I thought about the animals in the Jungle Book. I know Baloo is a sloth bear and they're found mostly in India. Then I remembered Mowgli is an Indian name.
Besides the name Mowgli: it was written by Rudyard Kipling, features both a sloth bear and a tiger, and frequently mentions Seoni (spelled Seeonee in the book) - it all adds up to India.
Sorry, I totally disagree. A cult classic. Did you somehow think the "Great White North" on SCTV was meant as high culture? Even movies with a ridiculous plot can be fun.
The modern Exodus movie is about the book in the bible so it would be Egypt for the most part, but is was subtitled "Gods and Kings". The god awful Otto Preminger movie from 1960 that starred Paul Newman and Eva Marie Saint was based on the Leon Uris book about the founding of modern day Israel from post WW2 to the early 50s.
I was so confused by this. The English Patient is set in Italy. The part that was in Egypt was just flashbacks. And while I have the stage here I just want to say that it's a horrible movie and I hate it. It's so confusing and painful to watch and not romantic at all.
the instructions specify the modern-day country in whose territory the film took place. by your logic exodus or the jungle book should not be accepted either as they’re set before those countries were countries
and how is mowgli an indian name? Kipling made it up (perhaps now it people use the name he created for the story?)
