Blade Runner and its sequel take place in a future (even though the original movie is actually set in a date now in our past) very different from the present. The geography of the whole world seems different, as there are vast sea walls made to protect cities from the rising oceans caused by Global Warming to it constantly raining in Los Angeles, to other cities like Las Vegas being totally abandoned.
Missed on Big because I always associate Tom Hanks with Los Angeles, but I remembered after seeing the answer that Zoltar is located on a boardwalk not far from where I grew up in New York.
Also, the original trilogy (I pretend 4 and 5 didn’t happen. 4’s actually a fairly OK action movie, it just feels more like a generic action movie than a Die Hard movie, and it is PG-13; as it doesn’t feel like a Die Hard movie to me, I generally don’t consider it alongside the trilogy. 5 is pure trash) further blurs the line.
In 1 he is a New York cop in Los Angeles.
In 2 he is an LA Cop (back w/ Holly) in DC.
In 3 he split w/ Holly & is a New York cop in NY.
I could be wrong through
For Goodfellas, I assumed mafia movie -> New York
Then I counted and had much more New York, so the rest I put to L.A.
Result: 17/18
