The Allman Brothers song is indeed based on Hank Williams, though it's not exactly a cover. House of the Rising Sun isn't an original either (it's an old folk song), although the Animals did make it famous in popular culture.

Wham! did Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. Avicii's Wake Me Up is the one that goes 'So wake me up when it's all over. When I'm wiser and I'm older' or something
What is the correct flag for America? I'd put The Union Jack out instead of the stars and stripes. Though American citizens (they were sons of American servicemen station in UK) they met and formed in London and recorded their first album there.

ACDC are a funny one. Described as Australian although Malcolm and Angus Young were born in Scotland. Bon Scott (not a Scot) was Australian but his replacement as lead singer (and arguably the better known) is Brian Johnson, a Geordie (who used to sing for the band Geordie)
The Young brothers emigrated to Australia as children. They formed the band and were on the domestic pub circuit for years before breaking internationally.
