I love Kansas and was pleasantly surprised to see them on this quiz. I only know them from Supernatural because of Carry On (My) Wayward Son becoming the anthem for the whole fandom.
These quizzes are mostly teaching me that I've got a 1960-2010 window for knowledge. Before that (apart from classical) and after that, I do rather poorly.
Kenny's passing was definitely noted in my area. After appearing at a local rodeo in the 1970s and learning about a project to help children, he was instrumental in the building and continued expansions of the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center in southeast MO which later became the Kenny Rogers Children's Center and helped children with all sorts of special needs. He continued to do benefit concerts to support the center which provides needed services in the middle of nowhere to about 350 children annually. RIP, Kenny. You did good.
I thought sure that Nat King Cole would've been on here. Then I realized "King" wasn't actually part of his real name. Then again, it IS part of the moniker he's known by.
Not to nitpick (but I must as a diehard Kesha fan) TikTok was released in 2009, not 2010, as well as a couple other songs featuring Kesha (Dirty Picture by Taio Cruz, Right Round by Flo Rida). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Kesha
