Question: Should I change this to use abbreviations instead of typing the full name?

It would work better as a separate quiz with less time, I'd say.

Nonsense! It's already too much of a typing speed test;

it's really not, there's plenty of time

Exactly. When 70% of the takers get 100%, the quiz is too easy for this group. Lets make it a true typing test and cut it down to 1:30. That way people have to think what border state I should name that is fastest to type. FYI, I got 100% in 2:30, but I probably could do it at 1:30, but it would be a challenge.

Is it a speed test or a knowledge test? I took on a tablet and ran out of time after PA.

I'd keep the full name. But it might be nice if the answer stat would show all the options you could have mentioned.

I think you made it well just the way it is.

I like it the way it is. I was also pleasantly surprised Utah worked for New Mexico ;)

This is fine. The abbreviations may cause confusion.

Fun quiz. Consider accepting just NH and NJ?

Great quiz! Also, Virginia and West Virginia should be swapped if the quiz is in alphabetical order.

I think the metrics would be really interesting to see -- if there was a way to know which bordering states were chosen most frequently for each answer

Typing Iowa on the California and Connecticut boxes is definitely a low point.

I thought NYC usually worked as a type-in for the state as well as the city?

City, but it is a default type in for New York, State or City. Consistency counts

4 minutes is nowhere near enough time to do this quiz. Not everyone is a super fast typer.

Had a few points where I used the same state twice in a row and it made me wonder -- can we get 3? What's the longest streak you can have using the same state?

The states that start with North and South are really easy. So is West Virginia too I guess.
