The one towards the bottom of the album should say "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)." It's like a minute and a half long. It's really cool though!
1 song is missing, the very last song of the beatles : now and then. otherwise, great quiz. i spent hours trying to figure out the last songs i cant remember XD
Since the early 70s this list has been considered the "official" list of songs the Beatles released during their recording career- to include "Free As a Bird" would be to include all songs released for the first time on the Anthology series (in the mid nineties). Then there's the "Live at the BBC" songs, Hamburg bootlegs, Christmas stuff and more- I think this list is comprehensive enough :)
WOW! Great quiz but......not NEARLY enough time. I couldn't have typed in all those names even if I had the albums right in front of me!! Need AT LEAST 20 minutes! And by the way, who are these creeps who are typing from a list? Ever heard of the word CHEATING??? If you don't know the answers then try another quiz. Don't skew the stats for those of us who play fair.
And there's an hour of my life well spent. Took me four tries to get them all in time, another 5 minutes would be GREATLY appreciated. Took me longest to remember the name of Michelle, but I knew it was the French one!
Now this IS pathetic....nearly 18 months after the above post and NOW just NOW I finally manage to beat my previous best of 4:00 left....4:08 left this time......getting old fast (me, not this quiz).
This is almost impossible. I've managed to get about 94 in time given. The only way this is possible is if you literally have another tab open with the answers on it and even then I only did it with 5 seconds to spare.
There's always a degree of narcissism in the comments...from ''I'm so great and young and got so many correct'' to ''I got 90%, I'm ashamed that I did so bad.''
Maybe this will make you feel better. I'm old and listened to most of these when they first came out on the radio, I have several original Beatles albums, saw their movies, etc. and I scored 26.
I dont mind the I did so bad, but the what is wrong with me ones sort of rubs me the wrong way (and others but cant think of the sentence right now). Probably just a way of saying things but missing an answer even an obvious one does not make you a failure in life or a horrible person. I think it is said jokingly, the selfhate, but there are plenty of kids out there for whom it is not a joke. They truly hate themselves for the smallest things (so not in a way most kids, and adults go through, who doesnt like their weight, their.. whatever). Nothing funny about that.
Again the ones posting stuff like that on this site probably mean it as a joke (or the phrase lost its meaning, like things that used to be ok or good, are now fantastic amazing fabulous. the power is out of the words) but it reminds me of several of those cases..
Nice quiz, although it destroyed all my illusions that I was any sort of true Beatle fan (I'm not even saying my score, let's just say it didn't earn more than 1 point). Any chance you could accept "Money" without the subtitle, though?
I got 91 and I cheated to finish two albums (I couldn;'t remember all
the medley songs and needed to get one song.. lol and the I got the rest.. and I also looked up how to spell OB-LA-DI lol I can sing it just dont know how to spell it :(
What am I doing wrong? Can't get any variation of "Anna" to record as an answer. a small problem considering the 25-30 songs I can hear in my head but did not write down, and the ones I did not know at all. A great quiz nonetheless!
I knew 7 and then got 3 more from trying the other titles. Dont know my percentage yet. With 15 mins left I started to read the comments ( not to use anything I see ! just to let the time finish)
edit: I got 5% :) I didnt know they did this many songs/ albums. I thought I was aware of most of them haha. I dont seem to know any of the ones I didnt get, atleast not by name maybe if I hear them ( some like familiar, like twist and shout but I am sure that is a different song from another artist...)>
Ow I ve heard of roll over beethoven ( only that sentence tough)
I am disgusted that of all the Peopl who have taken this quiz, of which are probably at least casual Beatles fans, only 59% got A Day In The Life. Greatest song of all time.
Interesting to see how the percentages come out, although I think the sheer volume of songs makes it difficult to remember everything, even the obvious ones (I got Old Brown Shoe, Yer Blues, and Chains, but forgot Strawberry Fields Forever...d'oh). I am surprised only 35% knew In My Life, right about the same number as knew Girl, which feels much more obscure to me. Maybe I have just heard "In My Life" at like 100 weddings, so it seems more famous? I suppose the Beatles have reached such a level of saturation that, after the 20 or songs absolutely everyone knows, it's really about who introduced you to the band, what they emphasized, and then curious experiences through which you picked up other songs. There's a busking duo near my subway stop that always plays "Baby, It's You." To most, that's an obscure cut, but it's always one of the first three or four Beatles songs that come to my mind, just because of which train I ride. I think it's neat the Beatles are that ubiquitous.
Challenge version: minimize the screen so that you cannot see the album names or blanks but only the running count. Shuffle between albums as though you were going to hear it as a mix. I have been trying it this way for a long time but have never made it to 210.
149/210, I think this is a good score. I completely failed Help!, Beatles For Sale, A Hard's Day Night, and With The Beatles! I got almost all of Let It Be (Only forgot "I've Got A Feeling"), Please Please Me (Only forgot "Boys"), and Magical Mystery Tour (Only forgot "Blue Jay Way"). Got more than I thought I would in White Album and Singles. However, I got all of Abbey Road, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Yellow Submarine, and Sgt. Pepper.
Given how little time they allow for this quiz, I agree. I know these albums well, and taking this quiz several times typing at top speed, I can’t do any better than 153.
I finally got them all. I had 18 seconds to go, but I got them all. I could have done wonderful things in my life, but my brain is full of Beatle's songs. My trouble is I can't type worth a lick.
How did you format this? I've tried doing a similar one for Home Free, and I get hit by block limits and they all disappear off to the side and I can't view them. Help would be much appreciated ;)
From what I can see this quiz only has 4 blocks. Manual mode formatting (in step 4) has been used to give the appearance of 15 but it really is just the 4 long columns with some per cell formatting. Each album heading is a colour coded text cell and the gaps separating each album are just blank text cells with a zero size border style applied.
You could take a copy of this Beatles quiz and have a closer look at the formatting or just edit as required. HTH :o)
You mean you don't know what I'm talking about. McCartney has the audacity to call the music of Oasis derivative, when all of his music is derivative in the first place.
I know these albums well, and there just isn’t enough time on this quiz to type the song names going at top speed. Nowhere near enough, in fact. My best is 153, and a I’ve taken this quiz several times.
i literally know every single one of these songs just by reading the title, yet it's so hard to remember them without hints !! love the challenge but i only scored 91/210. i'll keep trying
This is extremely hard, even if your really into their whole discography. Knowing the names of the songs isn't that important when you listen to album. So recalling the more obscure tracks from the minor albums is tricky.
I suppose adding "Now And Then" wouldn't make much sense, as "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love" would have to be added, along with all of the Anthologies and BBC songs...
So, it would be best to keep the songs released in the period in which the Beatles were still together.
Came here to see if someone had made this comment and I'm glad you came to this conclusion. For the record, I'm enjoying "Now and Then" but I have no interest in trying to remember all the previously unreleased songs on Anthology 1-3, let alone "Live at the BBC", Tony Sheridan etc. The Beatles have a 210 song canon and everything else is just a bonus.
Again the ones posting stuff like that on this site probably mean it as a joke (or the phrase lost its meaning, like things that used to be ok or good, are now fantastic amazing fabulous. the power is out of the words) but it reminds me of several of those cases..
I suggest moving the albums around so they're in chronological order or at least putting the two white album discs so they appear next to each other.
Possibly, but I'm not sure about that myself, adding 'free as a bird' and 'real love'

Hey Jude #2 and Yesterday #3
I'd put 30 mins for this if it were my quiz. You need to be basically typing constantly for 20 mins, and add some thinking time eh?
Also, 'Komm, gib mir deine Hand' and 'Sie liebt dich' should be included.
So, it would be best to keep the songs released in the period in which the Beatles were still together.
I love this quiz!
