I just have to say... Athena is awesome... almost as awesome as Ghost Rider, a.k.a. me... and I love it when people say totally random things... and I love ... as you can see... HA! I'm weird as weird can be. It's also late. And I'm a bit hyper... so... yeah.
Agreed. Omikron is the only way I have ever seen it written down, and I'm American. It's actually more correct than omicron because "mikron" is the English transliteration of the Greek for little ("mega" is big, therefore, "little o" and "big O"). The only letter that makes a C sound in Greek is Kappa, which is always transliterated as a K.
Very true, I stand corrected on that last part. However, I feel like the letters should be spelled the way they are in Greek, seeing as they're, you know, the letters themselves. IDK just my two cents
for anyone who doesn't get this and fails the game go watch this amazing video trust me i learned all of them after i heard this and share the story also enjoy:)
At my school, pledges had to sing the entire Greek alphabet while marching in line, everywhere they went. There wasn't a person in my dorm, Greek or Indie, who couldn't sing that annoying song in our sleep! I'm surprised I had 2:21 left. Should have gotten it even faster.
I'm currently taking chemistry, physics, algebra two, and probability & statistics. Everything we use in those classes I got. (Except pi... I forgot pi.)

The hint "Ancient Greek, not modern" is misleading. The alphabets of ancient and modern Greek are identical. Plus, the names of the letters are identical. The only problem is that what you're looking for is not hte letter names, rather than the translations the american educational system has chosen to use on the letter names. Please clarify it.
I only got alpha, beta, gamma, delta, theta and omega - I knew these because of Maths and Physics (forgot sigma). I typed 'ypsilon' as it is a German letter (I'm learning German) but didn't bother to change the first letter although I initially intended to!
The distinction between modern and ancient Greek alphabet makes absolutely no sense because ancient and modern Greek language have the same letters.
An explanation that "Anglo-Saxon pronounciation and writing is required (even though some letters have a totally weird writing) " would be far better!!
i am Greek and didnt find all! check your spelling please. There is no Mu or Nu letters in the greek alphabet. There is Mi and Ni. Also there is Ypsilon -for heavens sake, the Ypsilon letter without Y in your spelling!! And there is Taf (surely not tau)
Never had a greek course, just the students who had greek were singing the alphabet, so I had it phonetically at least, I just had to find the right way to write it
I had to memorize these in my European history class in high school. Surprised that I still remember them all. The teacher taught us to say "iota kappa lambda mu nu" to the tune of shave and a haircut.
in the US, you would do well on this quiz as either a frat-boy or a math/physics wizard. Quite the opposite ends of the spectrum (very little overlap there, ha)
alfa vita gamma delta epsilon zita ita thita iota kappa lamda mi ni xi omikron/omicron (whatever) pi ro sigma taf ypsilon fi hi psi omega

Charlie?
And don't even ask me about Hebrew or Aramaic.
Quizmaster, having the comments button while taking the quiz is a cheat to every quiz. Just wanted to let you know.
I'm a little mad and learnt the russian, greek and hebrew alphabet for 'fun' XD.
Who would write Y using a U? Seriously?

I really want to know since Quizmaster doesn't.

The others from my brain: Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Xi, Psi.

Only one I didn't get was omicron. I guess it's not used in either.
A joke among engineering students is "I never knew I was going to learn a new alphabet."
