Hey hey hey! Mr. Chutney, take it easy on the poor guy! And just for that, I'm calling you a total D*CK! Oh, and huge respect to dg48 for at least trying!
Well, pardon my ignorance, but I highly respect Derrick Rose😤! Just because he is not a Hall of Famer dosn't mean he's TERRIBLE! Besides, I think the only reason why "most" of you don't like Derrick is 'cause of his recent shaggy hair style! And I personally think that Rose SHOULD be elected into the Hall of Fame, but for some reason, ESPN and their SCUMBAGS chose to be DUMBASSES and NOT put him in! And just to let you know, your dealing with a 9 year old that is allowed to swear in front of his parents! No, that's not bad parenting. I think Derrick is one of the greatest Chicago Bulls players alongside Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Artis Gilmore. Hell, maybe even Zach Lavine or Jimmy Butler.
17/31, like all sports, don't follow NBA religiously but got all those bar a couple from '76 to '03. Apart from Lebron, Kobe and Curry didn't get any others from '04 onwards - I've heard of them but couldn't remember who played in those years. NRL (rugby league) is what I played. Good quiz, not so easy for me!
So proud of myself... got 28/31 and i was typing unseld but misspelled it as time ran out... only missed him cousy and petit... really good one quizmaster
Cowens, Center of Boston Celtics before the Larry Bird Era. Reed was the first player to sweep the MVP awards in a single season. Unseld gave washington their only championship.
Jerry West was an intriguing player and played incredibly throughout the National Basketball Association.
Let's talk about 1969. The apparent "stolen MVP" season. Wes Unseld was the second NBA player to win MVP in a rookie year. But Jerry West deserved that Most Valuable Player award.
You have Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Bob Pettit, John Havlicek, Willis Reed, etc. who could've easily won the Most Valuable Player, but assuming they're ranked higher than Jerry West on the leaderboard of best NBA players ever, that could certainly be the understanding of why Jerry West has never won MVP.
the quiz was easy i got a 100 on my first attempt with 3.58 remaining the only parts i struggled with is the 1970s but the only reason i knew the players was because of nba2k19
Lol, who would have thought Jokic would win MVP at the beginning of the season. They are going to get slapped by the Suns but still pretty cool that he won MVP.
Something interesting I read is that he's the lowest-drafted player (41st pick) to win. The second-lowest are Nash and Giannis (15th), and then Kobe and Karl Malone (13th). Pretty incredible that even 15th is generally too low to get an MVP. That's not the case with the other big four sports.
I had the Suns winning this series the whole way. But Jamal Murray's a thing. It's no knock on Jokic that he can't beat a talented team without Murray's help. (Even with Murray, this series is a toss-up for me though. I think the Suns go to the finals.)
Who do you think will win MVP this year? I definitely think Jokic deserves it, seeing what he did with a skeleton crew of a team to the 6th seed in the western conference while having the first 2000/1000/500 season in NBA history
Ugh, couldn't remember McAdoo. Got down to just him and had 2 minutes left. I tried Barry, West, Thurmond & Hayes...just couldn't remember. Must be getting old.
