To remember the order of the eight planets in our solar system, just remember this sentence:
My Very Energetic Mother Just Served Us Noodles.
My for Mercury
Very for Venus
Energetic for Earth
Mother for Mars
Just for Jupiter
Served for Saturn
Us for Uranus
Noodles for Neptune
"Mother very Thoughtfully made a jelly sandwich under no protest!"
Note 1: of course, this was when Pluto was still considered one of the main planets.
Note 2: the article "a" could stand in for the Asteroid belt, located between Mars and Saturn.
