Time for an update to the list. Oriental Palace (opened in 1979) isn't included, but is now the Linq. The source reference doesn't list it, but I was just in Vegas and went to the Linq.
The most recent casualty of time is the Las Vegas Club, currently be demolished. And a recent addition to 'near strip' is Lucky Dragon, on Sahara a block or two from Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Riviera was closed in 2015 and demolished in 2016. You're missing SLS Las Vegas, formerly the Sahara. Also, shouldn't The Orleans be included in the near-strip section? It's only 1.5 miles from Las Vegas Blvd. And if former names are going to be accepted, Lady Luck should be accepted for the Downtown Grand. Also, The Linq and The Quad are the same building. The Linq is the new name, having changed from The Quad in 2014. Also, if this quiz is about casinos, where is O'Shea's?
In the dark alleyway next to the Bellagio there's this guy Mickey. He will bash you over the head with a beer bottle and take your wallet. It's roughly the same experience that you'll have at any of the casinos just a little more efficient.
