Yeah it's famously ugly. People consider it a giant middle finger to the rest of the city. The best reason to buy an apartment there is that it's the only place with a skyline that doesn't include 432 park
Yes, but what it lacks in exterior beauty, it more than makes up for with its cold, hard, impersonal, overpriced, boxy interior spaces. I've been in more comfortable igloos.
Pretty ugly building. Probably a nice place to live. In terms of ugliness though doesn't hold a candle to some others I've seen. Like the Prague TV Tower, which, following the demolition of the Morris A. Mechanic theater in Baltimore I think by default has the title of ugliest building in the world.
I had to look that one up, too. I don't think that one would be so bad if they would call a tower surgeon to remove all those tumors on the poor thing.
I did so badly on this quiz, it is a wonder I didn't get points taken away from me instead of a 0/5. I lived and worked in NY for a while but it was years ago (that's my excuse anyway).
Surprising to see De Blasio have less of a % than Giuliani and Bloomberg. Maybe that's just because I'm younger, but you'd think recency bias would play a part
Never saw a single episode and I was a 20-something when it was popular, so I should have been the target demographic. The clips I have seen appear to justify the time I never wasted on it.
This quiz always stumps me on the Wall Street Journal. My mind just goes Times, Post, Daily News. I think the lack of New York in the title is what does me in.
I know that there's a note that some teams in New Jersey are included, but I don't understand why the Giants and Jets are included but the Devils are not. They basically play in the same place. The only differences are that the Giants and Jets have "New York" in their names and they used to play in New York.
