I love this comment! It's crazy to think Moyer pitched in MLB in 2012, the year he turned 50...50! And he made the opening day roster as no less than the #2 starter. He pitched for 25 seasons and did so in 50 different MLB parks, so I think he was a fair guess, even if this is the wrong sport! ;)
I hate it when I can remember a player's first name but not his last. I knew the longest field goal guy was a Matt (and I even got as far as Matt P), but it didn't help me.
Matt Prater's kicking is one of the few good things about being a Lions fan. In yesterday's loss to the Packers he nailed a 56 yard field goal that probably would have been good from 70. I hope he gets the chance to break his own record someday.
In reality he got the record because he was playing in Denver's thin air. Also there was once like a 70 yard attempt that was waaaay short in like Oakland I think.
Very surprised by that Baker Mayfield stat. I don't remember hearing about that at all. Vontaze Burfict has to have some crazy records...most on-field incidents that rise to the level of criminal conduct, maybe. Ray Lewis has the record for tackles in a season. It's still a race between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh McCown for "guy whose very mediocre career was most often revived by superb performances at exactly the right time."
p.s. It just had to be against the Lions didn't it? After the refs blatantly missed a delay of game penalty no less. Has any team ever been so consistently unlucky?
The 2024 bears would like a word. The bears lost games this season in the way that the Chiefs won them. The law of conservation of luck was at play i guess.
Dick Lane's record is by far the most impressive here—12-game season, run-oriented offense, and as a rookie. Averaging more than 1 interception per game is absolutely insane.

Mahomes had a mediocre season (for him) and now has a career rating of 103.5 vs Rodgers at 103.6.
