Tough call, but I'd say that the KC and San Fran ones are fine to show fully. People would still have to know the team names (unlike the Jets' or Steelers' logos).
I'd love to see a split between those who aren't based in north America and those who are. Just out of curiosity. I don't know many people in Europe who have any more than the most basic passing knowledge of NFL. Where as, i assume, most people in North America, will have absorbed at least a little NFL knowledge (more than your average Non north American anyway)
Yeah I'm from UK and have been an NFL fan for a few years now. There's no way I'd have got all these before I started following the sport. I'm useless at hockey, basketball and baseball logos as I don't follow those sports. Could probably name most UK rugby logos despite not having an interest simply from being exposed but an American would have no chance
I'd like to see the same type of stats for soccer quizzes. Until I started taking quizzes on this site I'd never heard of any soccer teams. Now I can usually get a few on every quiz which makes my grandson happy since he is a big fan of FIFA.
They are football teams. So are Association Football (Soccer) teams. So are Rugby teams. So are Australian Rules teams. So are Gaelic Football teams. So are......
Mr. Brown was the original owner, hence "Browns," and the home jerseys are, oddly enough, brown. The orange helmets simply serve as a compatible color with the...brown.
I know nothing about the NFL whatsoever (except that it has something to do with American football), but managed to get 6/32 by looking at the logos alone! Not bad...
Possible update for the 2020 season, if it happens, the "Washington Redskins" should be changed to the "Washington Football Team." The logo should also be changed.
Yes, they should officially change their name to the Cincinnati Bungles. I think losing in the wild card game 5 seasons in a row constitutes a name change
Would it take too much coding to make the logos fill in upon guessing it right? I understand you would have to make it an SVG and may even need to ask for permission due to the copyright.
It’s always funny in sports when some team is just way behind uniform trends. The Dolphins are a great example. They now have their more ‘scientifically accurate,’ Dolphin logo, which is the same place the Pittsburgh Penguins and Baltimore Orioles went in the early-mid 1990s. Eventually both those teams went back to their more cartoonish (though also far more charming and with more personality) older logos, to the delight of the vast majority of their fanbases.
The Dolphins’ classic logo of the cartoon Dolphin wearing a helmet is charming as heck. Their distinctive colors and Dolphin were there for some of the biggest moments in NFL history. Their current uniform and logo have none of that charm or history. I sincerely hope they change back asap.
And this is from a 3rd generation NY Giants fan from New York. I have no dog (or Dolphin) in this fight. It’s beyond time to go back to the look of the undefeated ‘72 team or the Marino teams.
