True, and citypopulation.de does list it as a separate "urban area" with a population of 1763336. If the quiz is going to count "agglomerations" rather than "urban areas", it should say so.

I always think of Murmansk as a major city. Its the largest arctic city in the world, but at less than 400K people I guess it isn't big enough.

Neptune777, you entirely miss Antimony's point. He is kind-of correct since Tanger is what it's called in French, the colonial language. Tangier (or sometimes Tangiers) is an English term, not generally used locally. The alternatives you gave are simply mis-spellings; Antimony's is not.

Got all but colombia, there is no way I would have gotten that.

Took some very hard thinking for me to get the last 3 though which I think was Morocco and Canada and Japan, luckily I could drag them from the depths of my mind ( which is nearly shutting down zzzz)
