one day i will learn to actually read the clues properly.
no idea what movie "there was me, that is alex, and my three dogs" was from, but would of know what "there was me, that is alex, and my three droogs" is from
I'd argue that it's probably a movie that is only famous really in North America. And it's not super popular with a lot of younger people. So anyone younger that Elder Millennial probably doesn't know it or hasn't even heard of it.
I only know it because it was mentioned in Red Dwarf, and became a plot point in a novelisation. Outside of that, I've never heard it mentioned, I don't think it's well known at all this side of the pond.
I've only seen four and a half of these films. Some of those I wouldn't particularly wish to see again, and the half was because I was bored and turned it off.
If the category is movies, always try "Star Wars," "The Godfather," "Goodfellas," and/or "Reservoir Dogs." "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is also frequently one of the answers.
The Big Lebowski also used to be one, but after I finally remembered to try it, it seems to have fallen from favor. Monty Python is another good one to try.
Great quiz! I've just made my first movies quiz if you wouldn't mind checking it out http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/180804/directors-that-work-with-the-same-actors :-)
I think Oliver is the musical, the best film is 'Oliver Twist' 1948, with Alec Guinness as Fagin and Robert Newton as Bill Sykes ...... great film. (Robert Newton also made pirates say AhAAAH when he played Long John Silver in the old 'Treasure Island'.
Thanks for bringing my attention to the 1948 version. It looks amazing! But just to be clear, "Please, sir, I want some more" doesn't occur until about the 15 minute mark of that version.
I've seen 10 of these movies but could only think of 3 Titles. If you liked the movie 'Burn after Reading' try ... .... http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/120558/burn-after-reading-the-movie
OK guess this one, maybe u can add it to the quiz!
"On the twenty-third day of the month of September, in a decade not to long before our own... the human race suddenly encountered a threat to its existance...a threat, like most others, in the seemingly most innocent and unlikely of places"
the first line in Ferris Bueller's Day Off is not "The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands", and it's not even the first line Ferris says smh
A couple of these aren't actually the first lines spoken or seen in the movie, but the Ferris Bueller one is the most egregious. It's not even close to the opening line; there's a bunch more that come before that one.
"I was born a poor black child" is about 5 lines later.

I might've said it wrong
