If the category is movies, always try "Star Wars," "The Godfather," "Goodfellas," and/or "Reservoir Dogs." "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is also frequently one of the answers.
The Big Lebowski also used to be one, but after I finally remembered to try it, it seems to have fallen from favor. Monty Python is another good one to try.
Great quiz! I've just made my first movies quiz if you wouldn't mind checking it out http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/180804/directors-that-work-with-the-same-actors :-)
Nobody else has commented on the inclusion of Trainspotting. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. If I had paid to see it in the theater, it would have been the first movie I ever walked out of. I was too tired to change the channel and regretted not sleeping through it. Maybe if I was a heroin addict I could have related?
Don, please don't listen to Packer. Trainspotting is a fantastic film, one of the best of 1996, and is universally considered to be as such. Definitely check it out.
Have to disagree Packers, Trainspotting was one of the best black comedies ever produced. It made stars of all the cast and the director, was Oscar nominated and was voted the best Scottish film of all time and the 10th best UK made film ever.
The sequel was released earlier this year with the updated opening lines...
"Choose life, Choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and hope that someone, somewhere cares.
Choose looking up old flames, wishing you’d done it all differently. And choose watching history repeat itself. Choose your future. Choose reality TV, slut shaming, revenge porn..." Look up the trailer for the rest.
It's probably a cultural thing that the US doesn't get it quite like the rest of the world. Making a comedy about heroin is always going to be edgy.
I think Oliver is the musical, the best film is 'Oliver Twist' 1948, with Alec Guinness as Fagin and Robert Newton as Bill Sykes ...... great film. (Robert Newton also made pirates say AhAAAH when he played Long John Silver in the old 'Treasure Island'.
"In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes that same rib twice in succession yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we, to believe that this is some sort of a, a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder."
I've seen 10 of these movies but could only think of 3 Titles. If you liked the movie 'Burn after Reading' try ... .... http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/120558/burn-after-reading-the-movie
