I kept typing "Peloponnesian" by every spelling I could think of. There was a Peloponnesian War, a Peloponnesian League, but apparently no Peloponnesian Peninsula.

Peloponnesian isn't strictly correct, but it will work now. Thanks.

Is there any chance to accept Morea for Peloponnese? It's historic name of that peninsula and there were a state in that name so I learnt it as Morea in history classes(also like fifteen minutes ago I was playing Europa Universalis 4 and I conquered Morea with Ottomans).

They are not supposed to be to scale. Otherwise, how can you see tiny Cornwall compared to massive Indochina.

To me Cornwall looks like the hind leg of a Koala Bear (for all pedants that will point out that a Koala is not a Bear ....... I don't care that's what I call them)

This is why JetPunk needs to introduce a mark down system - for idiocy such as this.

In Australia if you call a Koala a 'Koala Bear' your legs get chopped off.

Koalas are also called 'native bears' in Australia.

Michigan has two peninsulas: Upper Peninsula (commonly called the U.P.) and the Lower Peninsula. Not very creative names, but logical ones! :-)

Isn't Normandy a peninsula? Or at least technically Cotentin? I know both probably need to include or it is a bit indistinguishable but there are two of them shown in the picture and due to WW2 the smaller one is probably better known.

I really don't think it's better known. It's true, Cotentin is completely included in the picture (which could probably be cropped a little closer to avoid that), but Brittany is

a) in the center

b) much bigger

c) visually dominant

here, so there really shouldn't be an issue getting the correct answer IMO (as long as you know it, of course).

Indochina is a body of land, but peninsula seems a very serious stretch.

Malay Penisnula on the other hand is as peninsular as it gets...

@Velaris - That’s 'cause there aren’t any crocodiles on your peninsulas, mate! Although, personally, I’d prefer penguins over crocs any day.
