well in the uk there is a day to celebrate saint george, i know it is in other countries as well, like romania, bulgaria, portugal and of course georgia. and now sheikh mujibur rahman is the least guessed :(
When I lived in Victoria (Canada) as a child I always assumed Victoria day was a holiday for the city.
We would get a lot of marching bands from the US (especially from Washington, but sometimes Idaho, Oregon, etc) who would ferry over to practice at our Vic day parades because they're smaller and May is just a little bit before some of the big performances. Oftentimes they would outnumber our own since there's only 3 highschools in Victoria that have a marching band.
