I think you were thinking of the two types of
merenguemeringue..(making) that can be used for the macarons. (french and italian way)So macaroon is not the same as macaron, and definitely not Macron
And meringue has two variations and is not the same as merengue..
Macron (the president) does not want to do the merengue (dance)
Or this one more variations ;)
I would never get it.
Meringue though have been around as long as I can remember. But dont think you could call those exactly popular either.
