Bit unfair that they’ve put the question as Madonna trying to stay relevant. She’s always been shock value throughout her whole career. It’s just very weird to make an accusation based on an opinion to formulate a quiz question.
I agree, to accuse Madonna of cheap publicity tricks in order to stay relevant is an appalling smear. How could she be trying to ‘stay’ relevant, when she had stopped being relevant a long while before? Last time she had been mildly relevant was when she got cast in Evita after Michelle Pfeiffer, Glenn Close, Merck Streep and God knows who else had turned it down, and even then it was mainly based on the publics morbid curiosity! Mind you, if rolling around on a stage in a wedding dress, screaming like a mad woman is ‘shock value’ enough for some people, best they stay away from Messrs Osborne, Cooper and Manson! (Also, no weirder than making a counter accusation, based on an opinion, to formulate a comment on a quiz question, surely?)
'Marathon' is pretty vague for a question that begins with 'Event at which...'. Maybe specify that it was the London Marathon, or change the question wording.
The different types of running races are called 'events'. She didn't only win the London Marathon in 2003, she set a women's world record in the marathon event. It's asking for the type of race (event), not the venue.
If you're accepting "Arnold" or "JLo" in addition to their real names, maybe adding Concord as a 'close enough' spelling would be more consistent with the spirit of other alternatives accepted
Most likely in the first few days into 2024. I’ve noticed that these quizzes are being released only once every year, always 20 years after the year the quiz is about (such as the 2000 quiz being released in 2020), even though the 2001 quiz was released early.
I did better than I thought though, 17/20.
