Never heard of The Friendly Confines. I had heard oracle of omaha and run for the roses before I think but missed them anyway. I'm also amazed I managed to come up with Snooki's last name, though I didn't exactly, but you were generous enough to accept my misspelled guess.

Nice touch using a quiz with "Friendly Confines" today. RIP Ernie Banks.

Was thinking of Gibraltar but that's not an island... funny Quizmaster had to put a disclaimer on this one.

Just out of curiosity, on a scale of 1 to 10, how embarrassed are you to admit that you know that?

Strictly speaking, "Ma Bell" harkens back to when Bell Telephone was the only game in town, telephonically speaking. I personally have never heard of AT&T being referred to as Ma Bell.

That's incorrect. AT&T was formed and controlled the bell system around 1880 or somewhere around then. AT&T had the monopoly. People would use Ma Bell to refer to parent company and any Bell branch of the company.

Didn't know Whole Foods was referred to as such, but I like this almost as much as "Hipster Heaven."

Since when would Snooki be considered historical enough to be put on a quiz with the other historical people?!?!?!?!?!

I've heard "friendly confines" used to refer to any team's home stadium...never heard of it as specifically connected to Wrigley. But then again, I'm a Cards fan, so no shame in not knowing that one.

Also, Snooki? Seriously?
