Got 3 of 17 and am embarrased I knew that many. (Almost scored 4 with Ice Road Drivers...Ice Road Warriors...what the heck are those truckers called??!!)
I think that was the joke. Also, I'm pretty sure that he wasn't so much pilled-up when he was on the show as his brain is fried from a life time of being "pilled-up".
I've never even seen most of these and I got 13/17. Must be a pretty easy quiz. I love Mythbusters and Pawn Stars though. You can learn some pretty interesting stuff from those shows.
Pawn Stars along with Swamp People and Storage Wars and all the dumb haunted history and ancient aliens shows have really destroyed what used to be a good channel.
I'm not sure how they even get by calling it the "history" channel any longer. I used to LOVE that channel, but haven't watched it in years. Mythbusters is kind of fun, and Mike Rowe was awesome on Dirty Jobs.
Is Storage Wars on A&E? gah.. whatever... virtually every single channel these days minus HBO, Showtime, and their ilk is completely overrun with stupid reality TV shows. I'm almost positive that Storage Wars is on History when I have watched it in Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.... maybe they acquired it from A&E for international rebroadcast.
Fear factor was originally a Dutch/Belgian show that involved teams of 3, one from each country competing against each other. That's what made it watchable, not the stunts.. :)
I'm sad to say that I only missed one, but "can't get enough??" Speak for yourself, please. I've had way more than enough. Can't stand these stupid shows. Mythbusters is the only one that's not terrible.
Interestingly, Mike Rowe's new show actually IS called "Somebody's Gotta Do It", but it also features jobs that aren't dirty or dangerous. I actually started typing that title until I realized what the quiz would more likely be asking for.
Apart from a couple of episodes of Myth Busters, I don't think I've seen any of these, and I don't particularly feel like I'm missing out. Notwithstanding that, I still managed to get all but two, so for whatever reason, these shows have still managed to permeate my cultural bubble.
Never watched a single one of these shows. And got 16/17. Reality TV is like the wallpaper of contemporary culture. You see it all the time, even when you're not looking at it.
Also, not to be nitpicky, but Ozzy isn't speech impaired, he was just really pilled-up while they were filming that show.
Some of these shows are actually pretty good, Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs in particular.
Dancing with the Stars could just as easily be Strictly Come Dancing or any number of other shows from around the world
