Because then you would also get the other region Castilla La Mancha. It makes sense.

yes it is weird how some names are translated but others are just the Spanish ones. Castilla La Mancha Vs Castille Leon. Well at least there is plenty of time to guess them.

Note this has nothing to do whether this quiz is in English language or not, but how some regions have somehow established English translations and others just don't.

it's a common practive on this site than you can write cities/regions/countries in their native language, well at least you can do it in French and German.

They're autonomous cities, which have the same administrative level/range as autonomous communities do. They were part of Andalusia till 1995 tho. Their governors are called mayors-presidents.

The one where I live is the least guessed :(

Also, I think 'Canarias' should be accepted for 'Canaries' since Spanish names are accepted for other autonomous communities

The real name of Valencia should be "Community of Valencia", Valencia is just a province but the entire region is made by other two provinces, Castellón and Alicante.

Why are 'Canarias', 'Baleares', 'Islas Canarias' and 'Islas Baleares' not accepted?
