yes it is weird how some names are translated but others are just the Spanish ones. Castilla La Mancha Vs Castille Leon. Well at least there is plenty of time to guess them.
Note this has nothing to do whether this quiz is in English language or not, but how some regions have somehow established English translations and others just don't.
@Si2 Your response is a weak argument because Spain is already the widely accepted English name for the country, while Illes Balears is not commonly used in English. Imagine the U.S. states quiz, but suddenly, instead of Louisiana, the quiz uses La Louisiane (its historical French name). Likewise, this quiz should stick to English and Spanish names, respectively.
They're autonomous cities, which have the same administrative level/range as autonomous communities do. They were part of Andalusia till 1995 tho. Their governors are called mayors-presidents.
The real name of Valencia should be "Community of Valencia", Valencia is just a province but the entire region is made by other two provinces, Castellón and Alicante.

Also, I think 'Canarias' should be accepted for 'Canaries' since Spanish names are accepted for other autonomous communities
