I have to wonder how the stats would look if this quiz was taken by "regular" people instead of Jetpunkers. The three most well known answers aren't necessarily the most visited or popular as vacation destinations, but instead, are the ones that are sovereign nations.
Saint Martin and Sint Maarten are two countries on one island. Much like Haiti and the Dominican Republic. And each spelling must be accepted. The first is the French spelling for the French pside of the island, the second the Dutch for the Dutch side...
The US Virgin Island is called Sainte Croix (not Saint) - short form is Ste. (not St.). It was irritating not to have Ste Croix accepted when that is actually correct.
What about San Salvador Island? (in the bahamas). Or would you not count that as Caribbean because it's on the Western side of the Bahamas. I personally think all of the Bahamian islands are Caribbean Islands because it's a Caribbean island nation.
