The Cantabrian Sea is the coastal sea of the Atlantic Ocean that washes the northern coast of Spain and the southwest side of the Atlantic coast of France; ...
I love geography, it's gotten to the point where I can name every country in the world, it's capital and tell you where it's located. This was very refreshing, knowing that even now there are still a lot of places in our world to learn about.
If you include the Myrtoan and Thracian seas, you must also add Icarian Sea (contained in the Aegean Sea), Levantine Sea (south of Anatoila), Cilician Sea (north of Cyprus, included in the Levantine Sea) and Libyan Sea (between Libya and Crete. They're all contained in the Mediterranean Sea.
You could even add the Karpathian Sea, but that would be kind of a stretch since it's rarely mentioned in English.
Same here, tried it a few times, even a variation, but not the right way. Also nearly typed Norwegian but didn't, but had tried Icelandic... same with crete
The Wadden Sea is an ecosystem of the intertidal zone, found on many coasts around the world. It's not a strictly defined topological region like the other seas in this quiz.
No, the Wadden Sea is a specific area, between the Frisian islands and the mainland coast. The term 'wadden' is sometimes also used for any considerable intertidal area, but Wadden Sea is still the name of the sea area, not a mere description.
Good quiz, like it that you can sea the answers by pointing at the red dots if needs be, good help to learning. Could have given me Hebridean Sea and Cretan Sea I feel.
I think those are the exact ones we learned in Europe as well. Though ionean might but up there as well, not real sure though, might be learned that later
(And not too sure we learned Baltic.. and we might ve learned barentszee but that might ve been with history about spitsbergen. Is and we also learned skaggerak and kattegat (which translates as cats hole in my language haha) I guess they aren't seas but I tried them anyway, cause they were stored in the same place (elementary school ) in my mind. Along with beringstrait and strait of Gibraltar which kept popping up in my mind)
i missed Aegean sea,Ionian sea,sea of Marmara,Greenland sea,sea of crete,bothnian sea,sea of sardinia,liguarian sea,sea of the Hebrides,Cantabrian,Wadden,Thracian,Myrtoan , Iroise and archipelago.i guessed pechora sea .Cool Quiz!
Geez... Even though I've been trying to study maps a lot, I guess the seas passed by me. I only knew of the Mediterranean, Aegean, Adriatic, Baltic... and I think that's it?
I only started really learning Geography in late August, but I'm still concerned by my lack of knowledge on the seas. That's crazy to think there are 33 of them, and that's just according to this quiz. Can't imagine how many there might be outside of this, too!
Possibly a side-effect of the recent reformatting of quizzes - the grey-hatched countries now block out several of the answer panels, and the answers do not display, even after the end of the quiz. Also, Greenland seems to have been pushed unnaturally close to Iceland.
It works for me. I'm assuming that this is an Internet Explorer issue. I'll take a look when I get a chance. I'm pretty sure the distance between Greenland and Iceland is accurate.
Psst! That plattitude fellow. He hasn't got the Wadden, Myrtoan, Thracian, Cantabrian, Iroise or Archipelago Seas on his 'Draw the World Map' quiz. Or the Seas of Aland, Hebrides or Sardinia. Keep it quiet please, people. I have nearly conquered his flaming quiz.

No further comment just hate being picky!
All of Volga (it flows into Caspian sea) and Astrakhan are in Europe.
You could even add the Karpathian Sea, but that would be kind of a stretch since it's rarely mentioned in English.

But great quiz :)
