Ápart from connery and hemsworth, none on of these are really of interest to me either. I get jackman though, he is very charming. (and sort of get ford too, indiana jones was an exciting character with an adventurous life and for many the indiana jones movies are a part of their childhood)>
I think many of these had adventurous roles, not simply movie star, superheros, action heros, bonds
How Australian is Mel Gibson? He was born in the US, didn't move to Australia until he was 12 and since the time he was 30 he's been more or less living in America. He was born an American citizen and as far as I know never renounced his citizenship. Interestingly enough he is currently an Irish citizen which he clams from his mother as well not Australian which he is only a permanent resident. I understand leaving that since most people would say at first say he's Australian but he only lived there for about a third of his life.
I always thought Harry Hamlin's political accomplishments were underappreciated. Glad someone finally recognized him, even if it was 220 years late. Also surprised Kevin Costner didn't win between '87 and '94. He was *everywhere.*
Pleased to have scored 1/28 in this so arbitrary and ridiculous quiz. The judges have around 4,000 million options to choose from and the fact that they've hardly strayed from the acting profession indicates that they haven't been checking them all out.
I'm proud of you for taking a celebrity and pop culture magazine quiz featuring extremely famous mugs (even if they're of debatable sexiness) so seriously. So ridiculous and arbitrary of them, I agree, the people at People need to be scouring entire countries, nay, CONTINENTS, not just these Hollywood goons
I’m sorry but Mel Gibson is definitely not Australian. He may be of Australian descent but he was born in New York and neither of his parents are from Australia sooooo...
His grandparents were Australian. He was born in New York but he moved to Australia as a kid and spent his formative year there. He first worked as an actor in Australian movies before coming back to work in Hollywood.
However, he's never had Australian citizenship. He's got dual American and Irish citizenship. I'd say you're sort of right and sort of wrong.
Had a very good laugh at this, but it's also a credit to DeVito's talent. Guys like him, Paul Giamati, and John C. Reilly never have to doubt whether they made it on talent alone. All three have put together remarkable and enduring careers too.
Sean Connery, Idris Elba, Pierce Brosnan, Patrick Swayze, the late John Kennedy, Jr., George Clooney, Matthew McCaughey yes! ...the others, not so much.
These are always such weird awards because you can genuinely find better looking people on your average day out in a big city, but everyone fawns over the actors because they're famous
For some reason Ben Affleck looks like Tom Holland and Sean Connery looks like Peter Sellers. Wrong time periods, but couldn't see the right answers for either haha
So I’m very clearly not very good at pop culture stuff ( I got 14, multiple for johnny depp and brad pitt, I only got Patrick Swayze trying to guess someone else as him ), so maybe I should come out from under my rock lol
Also, I’ve never paid attention to sexiest man alive before, but I noticed it’s a very white bunch generally
No disrespect to Patrick Dempsey, who is still a very handsome fella, but he seems so out of place. Seems they almost always pick the "It Guy" of the moment. Every other selection was picked during a year in which he was a very regular presence in major movies and television. Dempsey is known mostly for one role, on Grey's Anatomy. That show passed its prime like...12 years ago, at least, and he wasn't even on it anymore when he got picked. Feels like like someone who had a crush on him in 2010 grew up to reach the editor's desk at People and thought "Finally! A chance to right this historical wrong!" Good for him, anyway.
Why is it always celebrities and never, like, Phil Peterman from accounting? And how does the sexiest man always lose his sexiness so quickly that by the next year someone else is sexier? Every time!
I think many of these had adventurous roles, not simply movie star, superheros, action heros, bonds
However, he's never had Australian citizenship. He's got dual American and Irish citizenship. I'd say you're sort of right and sort of wrong.
But, we can always make our own list. With blackjack... and, you know.

I luv long hair (read: I am a super-mega-lesbian.)
*ends the quiz*
