Big fan of including James Burke as the thumbnail. I loved "Connections" growing up.

Great fun. Should 'Whose was the grand-nephew of the dictator...' be 'Who was the grand-nephew of the dictator...'?

Not that it matters, but shouldn’t the second green one be “whose empire was conquered by…” to fit the format?

The film "Cleopatra" starring Liz Taylor was released in 1963 - not 1961.

Huge fan of James Burke - perfect quiz for him "to watch over!" Enjoyed it, tho a bit more of ancient history than I would prefer.

James Burke - great presenter and probably one of the reasons I went into Engineering.

Also holder of YouTube's best timing in TV award.

Coming from an Indian here. I think the western world needs to change their perception on Gandhi as a 'peace endorsing' figure, rather he was a tool for the British and was against the Partition of 1947, kept his mouth completely shut in front of the British and let Jinnah demand whatever he wanted.

Bare in mind that it is not me saying this from my own opinion, but this is well shown within the psychology and mechanics of the Partition in general.

I don't understand your reasoning. How does being against the partition make Gandhi a tool of the British, or take away from his reputation as a "'peace endorsing' figure"?

In spite of your second paragraph, your comment sure seems like an opinion to me, and one not well-supported by your own statements, at that.

Shouldn't you say "Who was ALLEGEDLY assassinated by..."? The guy was (obviously) never convicted.

TMNT is to Renaissance artists as Madonna's "Vogue" is to Golden Age of Hollywood actors.

I'm surprised Cyrus the Great was by far the lowest. I don't know a lot of history, but he was one of the few I got.

very narrow-minded of you... if you live in an English-speaking country, it's very rare to learn about the history of non-Anglophone or non-European countries, but that doesn't mean they weren't important, just that the curriculum is skewed

in the answer stats the colors are back-to front for red and green

I was wondering why so many people were struggling with what I thought was the easiest group.

Good quiz. I was running out of renaissance painters but got there with plenty to spare

The colours are incorrect. There are two green groups in the quiz, which is likely why the answer stats are also messed up.

Not that it matters much, but it seems a bit odd to me to have Caesar be connected to Cleopatra through Marc Antony, when they were already connected through their own affair and a child (and a civil war and a siege and more political drama). I feel like it would've made more sense to skip Mark Antony and maybe add a category after Michael Jackson.

more people know JFK's assassin's assassin than the fouder of the Persian Empire?
