Because Seychelles is a smaller nation than Comoros and Mauritius. And yes, I too was surprised to see Comoros, Vanuatu, Namibia, Tuvalu, Cape Verde and Mauritius not on there.
Minteh, while your other suggestions are quite valid as tiny countries, I would like to point out that Namibia is huge, certainly in comparison with any of the countries named in this quiz.
Namibia? perhaps youve confused it with something else. namibia has over 2 million inhabitants and certainly not small at all, bigger than Turkey, Somalia, etc...
Good chance he wanted to type nauru and after the NA hos mind just completed it as another country starting Na ( that sort of stuff happens to me too sometimes)
St Kitts is acceptable, so unless you're typing Nevis and then going back and putting 'St Kitts and' so that happens then idk. also the full name is accepted so is Saint Kitts and St Kitts and Nevis.
Mastered the countries of the world quiz a long time ago but for some reason can never get 100% on this one... I always forget one or two, and never the same ones.. frustrating.
I learned it this way, 3 Saints, Kitts, Vincent & Lucia; 2 other multi letter names, Antigua & Trinidad; and 3 single names, Dominica, Barbados & Grenada.
Today I learned that Mauritius is a larger country than I thought it was. Spent over a minute trying to figure out how I was misspelling it or what other country I was mixing it up with, when in reality I had its name right and it just didn't make the list.
It's so hard to tell which tiny places are independent states and which are territories of others. I didn't type Marshall Islands because I thought it was still a US territory.
Ok I get you're just joking to show that they look ridiculous but also the Marshall Islands is still very heavily influenced by the US and in 2014 was recently a US territory.
Far from being on this quiz with a size of 2.586 square Kilometers (would be #32 here) and a population of 562,958 (would be #14 here). Next in Population would be Samoa (187,820) and next in area would be Singapore (716).
Singapore is on the list. So did another country grow in size since your post?
Edit: maybe the quiz used to have fewer answers? But singapore is currently nr 18 in size, that means the list used to stop at 17, which seems a weird cut off point.
Correction. Currently nr 19, so cut off would have been 18, which us slightly less weird but still not common. Plus its size is not listed as 716 but 687. And the 20th one as 702. So looking at sizes, something with 716 km² would/could be next on the list.
So maybe he missed it was on there. Went looking for countries with areas more than 702 km² and found something which said singapore was 716. Btw this quiz seems to use land area (so lakes etc get deducted)
So he should have physically made the country smaller himself by digging away land so it could be on the list? Thats quite a lot of work for a quiz.. even if you disregard the paperwork involved.
Since I already have the tab open: Vanuatu would be 39th (So even lower than Jamaica which sits at 36) with an area of approximately 1200 km²
Sao tomé has a land area of 964 km² and Seychelles is 455 km² so less than half the size. You are wayy off there, maybe mixed the two up? They both start with s.
I was surprised that the Bahamas wasn't on the list (always thought that was country was miniscule) until I found out it has an area of 13943 km2 which is larger than Montenegro, Jamaica, Qatar and the Gambia. Blew my mind.
Forgot about Maldives, probably because it isn't in real group like the others (Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, European Microstates), nor is it as important as Singapore. Still bummed I got so close to perfect.
ESwatini may be tiny by African standards, but it is HUGE by the standards of this list. It is more than two and a half times the size of all of the countries in the area section of this quiz combined! At 17,364 km2, it is not even the smallest country on Mainland Africa - that's Gambia at 10,380 km2. But yeah, compared to South Africa it's pretty small - just 1.42% of its area.
Only forgot this grr

I have forgotten Maldives and Singapore: the easiest.
It ís the smallest country that isnt considered a micro-nation or an island country though. That must count for something ;)
Great quiz!
Somehow people in this comment section are quite obsessed with Luxembourg and Mauritius :) (and none of the ones inbetween)
Area: 2,586.4 sq km
Population: 576,249

missed singapore, i knew it was really small, but i never really grouped it together with all the micronations
Indian Ocean island countries: all above + Madagascar and Sri Lanka
Any good?
