It's also used in grappling martial arts like judo to describe someone acting overly defensive by holding on to their opponent and locking their arms to keep someone away from them.
You should accept gridiron and american football - not only does "football" refer to different codes of football in different countries, in Australia it even refers to different codes depending on state.
Well, I only knew a few of these. After I guessed the ones I knew, I just started guessing sports at random, and I got most of them. I suppose to make it more of a challenge, you could make it so we had to fill in the sport name next to the term.
why would throwing a disk be less of a sport than hitting a ball with a stick or your feet. Or throwing a ball ( that covers most of the sports I guess)
the comments are brilliant ... football or soccer - seen "corner kick" so typed football and the "stiff arm" clue filled in, so being the reasonable Brit that I am, and having read the "bit at the top" I type soccer. . It's not difficult. It's an Amertican based website, we all know that, so live with it.
BUT - what on earth is "Ultimate Frisbee"... and don't tell me there's a "Normal Frisbee" too...
me and handog rated this quiz unna although was a tad bit westernized if unno what i mean aka yankeedoodle, since when is ultimate frisbee a sport, may as well call a dartsman a proffessional sportier.
"Huck" is a pretty generic term used by certain groups describing all sorts of sports. Perhaps I'm not familiar enough with the sport listed as the official answer, but I feel like that one could use a clearer hint, as I had guessed nearly a dozen other sports before guessing correctly, and, looking at the other comments, I'm not alone in that situation.

There are of course other sports called bowling. In the UK, we have crown green bowling and flat green bowling.
