Agree completely. I'm not smart enough to articulate why it seems odd to list them newest-to-oldest, but it just does.
EDIT: Maybe because, since we experience them in chronological order, we remember them in chronological order. I know I could complete this quiz faster if it started with the Packers-Chiefs SB I. Maybe it's less work to update annually in the present order...I dunno.
I wanted to comment the opposite. I very much dislike the convention of referring to the championship by a year other than the year that it takes place. I understand why it's done, but I think it's wrong.
Um, that's because the "Commanders" didn't play the Dolphins. The Redskins did. You wouldn't say that the 1944 St. Louis Cardinals beat the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, even though the St. Louis Browns eventually moved to Baltimore and changed their nickname to "Orioles". That's because the Cardinals didn't beat the Orioles. They beat the Browns. Same thing with the Redskins in '82.
How did they cheat? I was rooting hard for the 49ers (they’re my 2nd favorite team), but I believe it was fair. The Chiefs also won the Super Bowl after 2019 and of course last year, too. Do you believe they cheated every time?
whammies make this a lot less fun tbh, I like being able to try a few times and learn as I go, even just adding an option to disable them and not play for points would be nice
Get rid of whammies on this one. One shouldn't need to know exactly what year a team won the Super Bowl in the 70s, especially because the regular season and the year the Super Bowl itself was played could throw people off. If the NBA quiz doesn't have whammies, get rid of it for NFL too.
Oh, I guess that was a while ago... Now I feel old.
(i will list them on request)
