I agree, please accept Tzar, that was how all my history books growing up spelled it. (and I am not that old, 28), I will accept that the books we were using were old.
I think that 'Tantrum' is not always an angry rant, when you see a little kid throw a 'Tantrum' it is often just a case of physical contortions and temper. Whereas Tirade is an angry speech in effect.
yes, tantrum is being angry screaming and perhaps hitting stuff around you. A tirade is like an angry monologue. So basicly one mostly lacks the speech part (besides so flung words like I hate you, and I want it I want it etc) And a tirade usually lacks the physical aggression
We had poi when we were in Hawaii. Taro has leaves shaped liked elephant ears or arrowheads, and the roots are pounded to make a starch which is called poi. It's pretty bland, but ours was a pretty purplish color.
There are Pacific hurricanes. They're called hurricanes in the eastern (up to 140W) and central Pacific (140W to 180). They are called typhoons in the western Pacific.
I got there eventually, but only after getting stuck for ages on "Tropical cyclone", which is what they're called in my part of the Pacific (eastern Australia).
@someone2018 I thinking you are confusing totem with totempole..
@cornflakesfu totems can be worn I guess though they usually arent. It is usually abstract, symbolic. An animal can be a totem, or a (sacred) natural object, and consequentially Images representing that are also totems.
Got them all except for one. In New Zealand, poi are used in Maori dances, and were made from flax and swamp reeds, and I just couldn't figure out what else the answer could be!
Kept reading the last clue as "To provoke an internal argument for the sake of one's own amusement"... I mean, who hasn't had great arguments in their head, especially after the fact?...
Great quiz!
Tannery would have made sense though. Good job brain
