Came of age in the 90s when the passing attacks started really opening up. Might have had similar tenures to earlier quarterbacks at those teams, but the average yards per year would have been much higher.

Brian Sipe played for the Browns, but that franchise became the Ravens in 1996, and as such the franchise leader is Flacco. The Browns were then reborn and Tim Couch is the passing leader for that franchise

Level 57

This is not correct. The franchise history remains with the current Cleveland Browns, however sad it recently has been. This was a huge sticking point when the devil himself moved the team to Baltimore.

You do realize this is a team leaders quiz, right? All of Rodgers passing yards have been for the Green Bay Packers, so the only one that matters is if he's ahead of Brett Favre or not...and he's not (over 20,000 yards short so far as of the end of the 2019 season).

This wasn't true a year ago and it's not true now. It's only about their yards with the franchise for which they are the individual who has the most yards.

Cowboys Tony Romo? Not Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman? Kurt Warner doesn't take the cake for the Cardinals OR Rams? And I'm thoroughly surprised that Otto Graham wasn't the Browns leader. Plus, Warren Moon always puzzled me - I don't think I'll ever get used to HIM being on these lists.
+1

Was a little surprised at Romo being first, but he played in a pass-happy era, and Aikman spent a lot of time handing the ball off to maybe the greatest running back in NFL history.

Emmitt Smith he meant.

Sep 25, 2020
I think he knew what he meant. But as a Priest Holmes fan, I have to acknowledge what it means to be a running back behind one of the greatest offensive lines in history. Take ball; saunter left (or right), waiting for gaping hole to develop; burst through 8, or 15, or the score. I think most Emmitt Smith fans would recognize the sequence.

I suggest not adding former team names, unless you do them for all franchise (Lions/Spartans, Bears/Staleys, Jets/Titans, etc.)
