What a nasty comment. To degrade one of the greatest coaches basketball has seen because of a couple bad seasons.
While I agree that he should've quit, he is still a 'basketball genius'. It's not his fault that the spurs have had abysmal rosters for years. Almost all other coaches would be unable to do any better with these terrible teams.
But the personnel decisions were largely his responsibility!
In any case, you're right. The players matter far more than the coach, win or lose. Some people thought there was a Popovich exception. Now they know there isn't.
When I first did this quiz I thought the lakers would be on here but they were so trash since 2013 and are STILL trash and that pretty much ruined everything for them
How did the rockets make the list? They have had good seasons, but how did they have a higher win percentage than the heat, who won 3 championships since 2000
Their dynasty was for only like 4 years then they fell off and became trash. But before the dynasty they were kinda decent not a superstar team but decent

San Antonio and Houston are hot garbage right now so they might fall. Also this quiz should be updated as the corrections as of now are listed below.
Spurs- .668
Mavericks- .601
Celtics- .558
Heat- .556
Rockets- .551
About this comment just so you know you might not see change to this list and quizmasters list but the percentage for the heat on quizmasters list was 55.1 while it was actually .556
Celtics incorrectly show as having 0 rings -- they're the defending champs. I know this was updated after the regular season and before the finals, but it does say through 2023-24.
Popovich should have quit when everyone thought he was a basketball genius!

Things did go much smoother when I stopped guessing MLB teams, though...
