I thought about it, but they're not quite the same. "undergoing" isn't really used as an adjective, which is what the clue seems to be prompting.

This time I read it as Underworlds quiz. I was surprised not to find Hades and so on.

Can someone explain the "short and in the way" clue? I get the "underfoot" bit but not "short".

It took me a while to process what this meant even after seeing the answer, but basically if you have kids or small animals running around and impeding your movement they are "underfoot"... it is likely if you don't pay attention that you may step on one of them. That's always been my understanding of the term. It's never used to describe other adults or larger obstructions.

It would be hard to step on someone tall!

Ah yes thanks that makes sense. Maybe the clue could be made a bit clearer? Perhaps refer to stepping on something?

The only thing I could think of was "undergrowth".

Agreed. Perhaps "Near the ground and in the way" might be better. The "short" part completely threw me off.

Annoying that -grad- is allready accepted. Do they really not know how to write it..? Accepting graduat, without the "e" I can understand. But for the few that are too lazy to type the whole word, all the other people taking the quiz have to erase letters after answering correctly. (If they are lucky and looked up, and arent allready several letters along).

Undergrad is a commonly used term in the U.S. "Undergraduat is just a bad misspelling.

Arent misspelling usually bad? I can't think if good misspellings anyway. My point was, this site often tends to cut the last letter off (especially if it is an e, s or h) so I have gotten used to that. But cutting the word halfway threw me, again this time.

(and the abreviation might be (commonly) used, still there is the complete word. Many people use sub for subscription, but on a quiz especially a word one, it would be weird if sub would be the displayed answer.)

Hades is underworld? He is the god of the underworld but not the underworld itself. I got the clue but it's a kinda missleading.

He's "king of the underworld, with which his name became synonymous." So, in modern usage, "Hades" can refer to either the dude or the place.
