Interesting quiz. Many of these are as expected, with a few surprises - especially Honolulu!

Yeah, rainfall in Hawaii is quite variable from place to place.

Yeah, it doesn't rain much in Honolulu, but it's often easy to see rain in the distance from there

I only got Honolulu because the population minimum is 900,000 and not 1,000,000. Also only got Riverside and San Jose due to their markings lol

I lived in Oahu for a few years. The island is divided in half by a large mountain range. So despite the East (Windward) having very high rainfall, the area West of the range (Leeward) is very barren.

Should Sacramento, CA be added on the list? Wikipedia lists the city's average annual precipitation at 18.75 in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento,_California#Climate

I've been to all except Tucson and Honolulu. Never lived in any but I was pretty close to Sacramento.

I've been to all except Sacramento, Fresno, and Honolulu. We went to Kauai instead of Oahu. (Which might explain why I missed Honolulu. It rained every afternoon on Kauai and I mistakenly assumed it would be the same on all the islands.)

I had a part-time job at a mall in Sacramento, but I was living nearby in Davis.

Surprised that San Jose and Sacramento are here but San Francisco isn't. Looking at the source, it looks like they get 22.9 inches of rain.
