It has been called "the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived". Nevertheless, try to answer these questions about the U.S. Vice Presidency and the men who have held it.
If I remember correctly, it was worse than just spelling it with an e. He was at a school and a pupil was asked to spell potato, which he did correctly, and Quayle corrected him by adding an e on the end.
True, but Quayle was going by list of "correct" spellings supplied to him by the school. It's a mistake a lot of people would make given the circumstances.
On Wallace in 1948 the Communist Party of the United States of America (its proper title, not 'American Communist Party') was not the only left wing political party to support Wallace. The Progressive Party was the main Wallace party. The American Labor Party (active in New York) also supported Wallace.
Henry Wallace was a member of the Progressive Party and was endorsed by multiple other left-leaning parties in addition to the American Communist Party. Maybe specify what you mean by that question because there are multiple other answers that could be used.
Nice quiz! Although it seems odd to me that Burr got three clues, and Gore and Cheney got two. Also, including two pop culture clues in the mix (Vice and Veep) seemed a bit out of place to me. I mean, there have been 48 VPs in US history. Surely there's something to be said about at least half of them? That said, I liked that not all answers had to be the VPs names. Good variety! (Yeah, yeah, I know, make your own quizzes... What can I say. I like to put my efforts in complaining more than in creating. ;) )
If you want quizzes that are more feasible, try this one about people on the most presidential tickets, or this one about presidential tickets since 1948, or this one about family members on presidential tickets.
fun quiz, maybe have a 2nd one. Possible ideas first female VP, Jackson's VP who he told ""If you secede from my nation I will secede your head from the rest of your body" when South Carolina seceded, VP during WW1, only president to have had 3 VPs (FDR).
