I thought this was true as well but apparently going by birthplace, Virginia has one more than Ohio. There's some confusion with presidents "from" a state and presidents actually born in a state. It'd be helpful if the explanation actually explained that instead of just saying Virginia has eight.
That was my thinking too, but it turns out Virginia leads 8-7.
VIRGINIA: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, Woodrow Wilson
OHIO: Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, William Howard Taft, Warren G. Harding
If you want to be a real wise guy, if someone asks you to name the one President who was born in Delaware, the answer is "Rutherford B. Hayes, who was born in Delaware, Ohio."
Yep. The movie was (very loosely) based on a historical person. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocahontas
Edit: My apologies, I think you're talking about the spelling. Foreign names that had to be transliterated into English often have multiple spellings, but the spelling used in the quiz seems to be very uncommon.
