I only know it because of the Naval port. We've known a few people stationed there, and we attended a wedding for one of them in a park in the city. Yes, the part we saw was a beautiful place.
Agreed: San Diego is best-known as the City of Champions, counting all the championships won by the Padres, the Chargers (since relocated to LA), and the Clippers (since relocated to LA).
Agreed. And Palm Springs is actually really nice (I'm not elderly). Could have chosen some more famous cities like Riverside, Oxnard, or Thousand Oaks.
San Jose is on there. But what clue would you give for Lancaster (Burt maybe?), Modesto, pretty much all of those? Stockton is the birthplace of the band Pavement. That's all I know about it. Fresno is...a turd in the desert? And don't get me started on Redding. I'm from there (kinda), screw Redding. No one knows about it, and no one should. The clue would be "the city that has the highest population of dipshit Trump supporters and Q Anon enthusiasts." I am surprised about the inclusion of Eureka, though. I'm actually FROM Arcata, and I don't expect anyone to know anything about Humboldt (except the old weed reputation.)
I got 15 and I'm not American, so not a 'crap' quiz. I got Irvine because that's where Ezra Klein is from, Anaheim is mentioned in a Dick Dale surf rock song.
One correction: "N.W.A and Dr. Dre came 'straight outta' of here" - there should be no "of" in that sentence.
I was under the impression PS was more well-known that Oxnard or Thousand Oaks.
Maybe throw in some ... Santa Barbara, SLO, Bakersfield, Victorville, Lancaster, Fresno, San Jose, Modesto, Stockton, Santa Rosa, Redding/Yuba area.
But I think most of those are more obscure than the cities in this quiz.
