It sucks that more people know Nelly or Coolio than Eric B or Grandmaster Flash.

It pissed me off that I could not remember Grandmaster Flash. It was driving me nuts. I could remember every other early rap artist, but not him.

Accept "Gambino" for Childish Gambino. That is what a lot of his friends call him.

Replace Coolio and Nelly with Kanye and Kendrick Lamar, and I'd agree with the sentiment.

Kendrick Lamar is literally a Nobel laureate. What you got against his music? His flow is technically the top of the game.

Should it accept M&M then?

M&M is not his name... his stage name used to be M&M but he got rid of that thinking that M&M, the candy company, would sue him...

I don't think Public Enemy would have made that song 12 years later...

But a conspiratard would've made it another 11 years after that.

Hip Hop isn't a religion, so that can't be sacrilege. But - really?

Well as Yeezy said, hip hop is just a euphemism for a new religion, the soul music of the slaves that the youth is missing

So many scrubs listed, so much classic hip-hop missing. No Nas, Pac, Wu-Tang? No Roots, Big Pun, Busta, Tribe Called Quest? We needed Sisqo and Drake? Yuck.

I'd recommend accepting just "Kendrick" for Kendrick Lamar. Don't have a source lol, but a lot of people refer to him as just Kendrick.

Good selection. I got 19/24 because my knowledge is mostly old-school. The only one I missed from 1979-2000 was The Beastie Boys for "Sabotage".
