Missed some obvious ones, including Gibraltar and Edmonton. At least I got Lagos, the least guessed. But still ashamed of my score of 12. I keep learning little by little through these quizzes.

Lagos is now the 5th least guessed. Dont feel bad, this one was tough. The average is currently 11. I did a lo better on the other 3 in this series than this one aswell.

"Mysterious low life expectancy"

Who'd have thought a diet of fried bars bars and heroin would do such a thing?

I didn't get the city with any of the above clues but heroin tipped me off..

Even taking into consideration the poor diet and drug problems, the life expectancy in Glasgow is lower than expected. Hence the "mysterious" part of the term.

Some people think they know everything because they know how Google works. Fun fact - Trainspotting wasn't set in Glasgow.

Was I the only one who thought "York" for Grand Duke?... (or it that The Grand "Old" Duke?)

WTF are "Wegians"???

I think you'll find it's "Weegies".

And for the record, I've never seen a deep fried Mars Bars in my life, and Trainspotting (heroin) was Edinburgh, not Glasgow, so get your clichés right.

Glaswegians

Glaswegians - correct, but they really are called 'Weegies'.

Level 78

never heard of "wegians" in my life

deep fried mars bars are a thing of beauty, although I know a chippy in Stonehaven (Aberdeenshire) which claims to have invented them... but perhaps this particular weegie has eaten so many that glasgow's average consumption is higher

Maybe I'm just thinking like an American, but if NFL is on your mind, Oilers screams Houston, and Steel City is undeniably a name for Pittsburgh.

The other clues certainly suggest that those aren't the responses, but the first two definitely are applicable to multiple cities.

It's not that hard; all three clues have to be true. Steel City is definitely Pittsburgh in the USA context, but the others made it clear that it's in the UK.

You take all the clues together, not each one in isolation. (isn't that blindingly obvious?)

Glasgow's life expectancy being low is certainly not mysterious!

Edmonton? I've literally never heard of this apparently, so-called, supposedly, as-I'm-led-to-believe, according-to-QM "World City" (in inverted commas), in my entire life.

I know the usual criticism as that a lot of these quizzes are US-centric, and many of them certainly are, but this one was undeniable British-centric. 5/20 are British. If 5/20 were American, that would be too much, and Britain is way smaller.
