Oh yeah, white is a color too.....

Yeah, either the question is about a different desert or the answers are wrong. Namibia was the first country I tried.

perhaps 'not sanctioned' can sound ambiguous (as in 'not punished') to non native speakers
+2

It's somewhat ambiguous to native English speakers as well. Changed "sanctioned" to "accepted".

Can the part without the saint e.g. simply 'Lucia' be accepted for that question? Also for the overseas territory question 'border' should be pluralised and the territory has one too many 'l's.

Cool quiz nonetheless!

Vincent, Lucia, and Kitts will work now. Also fixed the plural thing, but no idea what you are talking about regarding too many L's. Cool comment anyway!

It's not to many "L"s. It's actually one "R" to many in "Territory" in the British Overseas Territories question :)

Ahh, fixed. Minutiae's comment was a good example of Muphry's Law:

I kinda expected Argentina to produce lots of silver, since the name Argentina basically means "Land of Silver"
+1
Level 72
Feb 20, 2024
Argentina is in the top 10 - in fact it is the tenth biggest producer of silver. Mexico is the biggest by a long way (maybe they should have he the name Argentina, but thought that it was maybe showing off?). Awkwardly for Argentina, although it is the tenth biggest producer in the world, it is only the fourth biggest in South America after Peru, Chile and Bolivia. I don’t know what the translation is for “Land of Modest Amounts of Silver” would be, but I suspect it would be long.

But, British Overseas Territories are not parts of the UK legally. While, it's technically true for France since all territories of France are integral parts of the country according to their constitution.

No France and the UK do not the over seas territories are not a full part of the united kingdom

The British Overseas Territories (BOTs), also known as United Kingdom Overseas Territories (UKOTs), are fourteen territories all with a constitutional and historical link with the United Kingdom. They are the last remnants of the former British Empire and do not form part of the United Kingdom itself.
