This series is great! Easy enough to get most of the common words, but hard to get all the rest.

I like the series! But as kiwirage says after getting the common words it's hard to get the rest. Perhaps you could try and come up with something similar to what kiwirage does in some of his quizzes, eg http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/97243/solve-the-secret-country-2

What I mean is that after guessing some of the words you somehow get clues on some of the remaining ones?

Or maybe highlight words with different colours depending on whether they're nouns or verbs?

I feel like the objective is not to guess all the words but just what it is, so if you didn't have the title of the text as an answer but accepted it for each word, working out what the text was would win

I agree. If you get only some of the words, but figure out what the puzzle is supposed to be, I think you can give yourself credit for getting it.

I love it, very cool.

I would add the song title and the band at the top or bottom to be filled in, just so that people really can "solve the puzzle"

So I don't know how feasible this is but I have a suggestion. What if there was a way to guess what it was when you figured it out? Like you fill out the words until you get what the title is and then there's some way to type out what it is (in this case, the song title) and then if it's right the quiz ends? It just sorta loses the fun after i've figured it out and I'm just typing in words to get to the end

Lots of fun, but I just looked up the entire passage when I figured out what it was since you said the point of the puzzle wasn't to get every word. Maybe you could make the author a type-in for every answer? That way the author is all you need to get 100%. Or the author and date it was written if you don't want people guessing random famous writers.
