I should've probably put a warning label about this being a hard one. But, I just wanted to make a challenging quiz for my fellow Potterheads 🪄
The movies unfortunately changed some of the characters' houses from the books, so this might be confusing. There are also some characters whose house is mentioned like... once in the whole series. So if you love a challenge, this one is for you.
Apparently I really don’t remember a lot of these characters, and some of the ones I do, specifically the adults, their house was probably mentioned like once in the books.
I purposely made this quiz challenging - I have made quite a many Harry Potter related quizzes and thought this would be more fun, rather than having just the main characters.
I got 100% first try, but a couple did take a moment or two of thought. A lot of this information is not in the books themselves, it's extra-curricular as it were. I am a very big fan of the Harry Potter canon, one does have to be a deep cut Potter fan to know all these.
Only knew 2 since everything I know about Harry Potter was gathered from watching only the first movie, online memes and taking JetPunk quizzes. Guessed enough to get 12 right and 1 point!
You got half of them, that's an awesome result! Like some people commented, some of these are mentioned just once in a book. So be proud of that result :)
Parvati Patil Gry. Goes to ball with Harry 4. DA member
Horace Slughorn Sly. Daft potions teacher 6. Former head of Slytherin house
Pansy Parkinson Sly. Generic female villain in same year as main cast. Attends ball with Mafoy 4. Prefect 5. Inquisitorial squad.
Penelope Clearwater Rav. Love interest, Percy
Padma Patil Rav. Love interest mcguffin for Ron 4
Susan Bones Huff. ? Member of Dumbledore's Army
Cormac McLaggen Gry. 1 year above main cast. Fails quidditch tryout after Hermione Confundus's him for Ron. Hermione takes him as her date to the Slug Club to annoy Ron.
I think there is some reason for each of them to be Ravenclaws. I don't think being sorted into Ravenclaw is just about being very knowledgeable. I think you could be sorted into Ravenclaw for valuing knowledge.
If I recall, Quirrell was interested in expanding his knowledge of Dark Arts and went searching for Voldemort (I think this actually comes from Pottermore).
Lockhart took credit for the works of others and constantly paraded about his (false) knowledge on a variety of subjects.
As for Trelawney, I think she had interest in knowledge gleaned through divination, although she wasn't good at understanding her ability.
I don't think they have equal wait to the logic, but that's the best I can do. It's always possible the author put them into semi-random houses.

I got 6 right, which was 7 more than I expected. Now onto a math quiz, which I also know nothing about...
Cedric Diggory Huff. 2 years above main cast. Killed by Pettigrew/Voldemort in 4. Prefect.
Newt Scamander Huff. FBAWTFT
Colin Creevey Gry. The photographer kid from 2 onwards. Is expelled for being a muggle. Is killed in final battle. RIP
Hannah Abbott Huff. Prefect 5. Dumbledore's Army member. Mother is killed by Death Eaters. Marries Neville
Angelina Johnson Gry. 2 years above main cast. Qudditch captain. DA member. Marries George Weasley
Alecto Carrow Sly. Villain Muggle-Studies professor/Deputy Headmistress 6, 7
Horace Slughorn Sly. Daft potions teacher 6. Former head of Slytherin house
Pansy Parkinson Sly. Generic female villain in same year as main cast. Attends ball with Mafoy 4. Prefect 5. Inquisitorial squad.
Penelope Clearwater Rav. Love interest, Percy

I only had a short hesitation for Terry Boot, but got it right.
That was a cool quiz
I'm not a super fan, so I'm sure there's rationale.
