Countries Adopting New Names since 1950

A number of countries have changed name to their current one at various dates since 1950 - sometimes upon or even before independence, sometimes for other reasons. Identify them by their CURRENT name.
The asterisk in Former Name column indicates that this was a colonial (or equivalent) name.
Countries may have had one or more names BETWEEN Former and Current Names.
Year is that on which Current Name was adopted.
Obvious changes (e.g. Samoa) are omitted, and I will NOT join a Burma/Myanmar debate 🇰🇭!
