Personal Names for European Airports
Numerous European airports bear the names of important & famous people. Using the clues, provide the individuals' names.
I know - JetPunk says Turkey is Asian - but I say Istanbul is European, so it's in!
Limited to 4 airports per country, so not an all-inclusive list.
In particular, Greece & Italy have many more such airports.
Parts of revealed answers in brackets are excluded from airports' official names.

You say "AIRPORT NAME" in the table header, but I tried Ataturk and it doesn't work for Istanbul.

Yes something is wrong. John Paul II doesn't work for Kraków etc. Make a preview before you submit.

To Ptaszek - can't explain - it works for me. I used upper-case ii iin quiz - could it be you were using lower-case ll? Anyway, I've added the latter, and also a no-numerals option.

Apologies to PSTSCCH - added his first name (in brackets) at last minute, and forgot to add last name only as alternate answer.
