Um... Kyiv? Pune?

The final e is pronounced in Pune. As for Kiev, it's apparently not clear how the (entirely politically motivated) spelling change is supposed to be pronounced in English. Wikipedia suggests it is either pronounced as two or one syllable. I don't think there could be a clear argument for any of the two, especially since the sounds of the Ukrainian pronunciation, that Kyiv is supposed to be a transliteration of, cannot be accurately captured in English. Considering all this, I believe it's best to leave it out.
