Would've thought Santa Fe was hotter than some of the other entries.

Yes, many don't realize Santa Fe has an elevation over 7,000 feet!

But if it's so high up it would be closer to the sun, therefore it should be hotter. Right?

Santa Fe is one of the colder state capitals. With an average temperature of 50.5°, it ranks 38 of 50, similar to Olympia or Albany.

I have spent many very hot days in Oklahoma City. Surprised it's not on there. Of course, unlike in Columbia, it's a DRY heat.

My guess is that OKC's hot summers are balanced out by colder winters than the others on this list.

I could not for the life of me figure out why Charleston, SC wasn't one of the hottest capital cities. Major Facepalm.

Would it be possible to add the temperatures in Celsius, also? Obviously, this is an US quiz, and that's totally fine, and the temperatures aren't really needed to answer it, but it would still be intersting for people who aren't used to dealing with Fahrenheit. Thanks!

No, it would not be possible.

Yes, the temperature in Celsius had been added. For quizzes about all other countries in the world Fahrenheit is also added just for Americans, so I think it is only fair that the rest of the world can read the temperature too, thank you.
