Ok, so here’s a wild guess ... Tirana? ... because Asuncion is the capital of a country bordering countries starting with A(rgentina) and B(olivia/razil) among others ... for Khartoum, that would be C, D, E ... for Wellington, F(iji) ... for Guatemala City, G (counting Guatemala itself) and H(onduras) ... for Bandar, I and J (some distance to Indonesia and Japan, but there’s always someone nearest and we have to be creative!) ... for Tirana, K(osovo), L(ibya), M(ontenegro), N(orth Macedonia)

Clue 4:.........Everybody knows that Usain Bolt was 'far and away' the winner of the Olympic 100m for men, nobody knows who was nearest to him on the finish line. PS after Clue 5 answer and reason will be given:

Clue 5:.......... Some capital cities are close (Rome / Vatican) Some capital cities are far from each other, but even those have a nearest companion............ if not solved answer Wed. 4th March /20

Because Reykjavik is the most remote capital in Europe but Dublin is its nearest neighbour, and you've given the nearest neighbours of the most remote capitals for every continent except Europe.

YES!, ........ congratulations 'overtired'........ you got it. This was one difficult Challenge to set up as I had to go Continent by Continent and measure the most remote and then it's nearest neighbouring capital....... made a mistake or two, but at least it keeps the brain cells working. ;..... Well Done 'overtired'.

Thanks, though I don't think I deserve much praise after you had to give so many clues! I was scratching my head back at clues one and two, trying different things. Looking at them now I'm kicking myself. Anyway, great challenge, and appreciate the effort you put into it!

Thanks..... for interest sake the remote capitals and the nearest capital to them continent by continent is ....... Brasilia / Asuncion.....Cairo / Khartoum.......... Canberra / Wellington ........... Mexico City / Guatemala City ........ Dili / Bandar.
